Mounts in Palmistry

 Mounts in Palmistry

Mounts, which are bumps of flesh on your palm play a very important role in palm reading. As they look like rolling mountains on your hands, they are called mounts. According to the Chinese palmistry, there are seven mounts for a person with each named after a planet and stands for different characters.

If the mounts on a palm are sufficiently prominent, muscular, healthy and reddish,

then they are called developed mounts. Contrary to it, underdeveloped mounts are

generally not visible. Ordinary mounts are those which neither come under developed

category nor can be accepted as well-developed mounts.

The planets, their Hindi names and corresponding influences are as follows:

1. The Mount of Jupiter: It is called Brihaspati or Guru in Hindi. It is a benevolent

planet and it is connected with government service, show of desires, etc.

meditation, loneliness, disease, anxiety, business and machinery, etc.

service, mental advancement, fame, respect, praise and miscellaneous arts and crafts

are studied by means of this planet.

and mental capabilities.

6. The Mount of Neptune: In Hindi, it is called Varun. A person's learning, his

individuality, his influence upon others and his courage, etc. are known by means of this

mount.

palm helps in the study of imagination, large-heartedness, sympathy, mental rise and

voyages across the sea.

12. The Mount of Pluto: It is called Indra in Hindi. This mount reveals mental

thinking and spiritual advancement.

AREAS OF THE PLANETS

The exact places of all the planets are fixed in palmistry and by looking at these

minutely, they can be recognised.

1. The Mount of Jupiter: It is situated at the base of the index finger and above the

mount of Mars. It is considered by its very nature-God of power, leadership organisation and authorship. The mount of Jupiter reveals these facts clearly.

If the mount of Jupiter is well developed and prominent, then such a person is said to

possess godly qualities. While such person advances himself, he is helpful in raising

others as well. Such persons try to save their self-respect specially. They are learned,

just, always prepared to help others and act according to the words given, are

benevolent and are highly respected in society. They don't get disturbed even under

most difficult conditions. Infact, all the justices of high courts and high authorities, etc.

must have a well developed mount of Jupiter. Such persons have the special quality of

changing the public in their favour and are more than necessary religious-minded.

If the mount of Jupiter is less prominent or underdeveloped, then there is a general

deficiency of the above qualities in a person. Physically such persons are of ordinary

body, healthy and have smiling faces. They are experts in reading and delivering

lectures, are kind at heart and benefactors. They are more inclined towards the

attainment of respect and good reputation rather than wealth. They have special

qualities of authority, independence and leadership.

They have soft corner for persons of the other sex and have very cordial relations with

beautiful and civilized ladies. If this mount is well-developed on the palms of females,

they have the desire to submit or yield to others.

If the mount of Jupiter is leaning towards the mount of Saturn, then such a person

remains busy with his own works but fails to get success in life. So he gradually begins

to become frustrated. By nature, they are serious and obstinate. If the mount of Jupiter

is in lower position, the person has to face defame several times in his life, but gets

complete success in the line of literary pursuits.

If the mount of Jupiter is developed more than necessary, then such a person is found

to be selfish, proud and self-willed.

If the mount of Jupiter, is absent in a person, there is want of self-respect in him.

They get very little patronage from their parents but they are generally found in the

company of persons of low ideas and of lower category.

If the protrusion of this mount is general and good, the man has a desire to go ahead

but he gets married in an early age and his family life is generally happy.

If the fingers are pointed and the mount of Jupiter is well developed, then such a

person is superstitious. Similarly, if the fingers are squarish, combined with well-

developed mount of Jupiter, then the person is self-willed and cruel in life, in a way. If

the fingers are very long and the mount of Jupiter is developed, then the person will be

extravagant and licentious. If the mounts of Jupiter and Saturn are equally prominent

and have intermingled in one another, then such a person is very fortunate and gets

special success in life.

In fact, the mount of Jupiter is said to be very helpful in life and moves a person

towards progress.

2. The Mount of Saturn: It has its base at the root of the finger of Saturn. The development of this mount on the palm is indicative of extraordinary tendencies. If this

mount is absent in the palm of a person, then he will not be able to get special success

or respect in life.

The finger of Saturn is called the deity of good luck because the fate line ends at the

base of this finger. If the mount of Saturn is fully developed, then the person is highly

fortunate and rises very high in life with his own efforts. As a result of a prominent

mount, such a person likes to remain aloof and constantly move forward towards his

goal. He gets so much engrossed in his work and in his goal that he does not care for his

household and his family. By nature, they are irritating and suspicious. With the

advance in age, they become more mysterious. Persons with prominent mount of Saturn

are wizards, engineers, scientists, literary men or chemists. Such persons are thrifty in

their lives and believe in having more immovable property. They have less inclination

towards music and dancing. They are suspicious by nature from their early childhood

and look with suspicion on their own sons and wives..

3. The Mount of Sun or Apollo: The mount of sun is situated at the base of the finger

of Apollo and on the upper part of the Heart line. This mount is indicative of the success

of the individual. If there is absence of the mount of Sun in a person's hand, he leads a

very ordinary life. Therefore, a person who has no mount of Sun on his palm, leads an

anonymous life.

A person reaches

a very high status in life if this mount is quite prominent, developed and is pink in

colour. Such persons are of cheerful nature and work in close co-operation with friends.

Their words and actions become news and they are very popular in general public. Such

persons are successful artists, expert musicians and painters. They are inborn genius.

They are honest in their dealings with others and are desirous of leading life in a grand

style. If seen in correct perspective, such persons earn a lot in business and they have

more than one source of income in life. They are completely materialistic and are

capable to reach the bottom of the heart of the man facing them. If this mount is

prominent in the hands of an illiterate or ordinary person, even then the person will be

wealthy and prosperous. They receive unexpected wealth several times in their lives and

their mode of living is royal and full of grandeur.

They are clean-hearted and never hesitate in acknowledging their mistakes. As they

are clear-headed, they can never tolerate their opposition and believe in frankly telling

the bare naked truth in front of the person. It is such persons who reach responsible

posts and are able to perform some original work.

If there is no mount of Sun in anybody's palm, he is dull-minded and a fool. If this

mount is not prominent, then the person, though interested in beauty, is not able to

succeed fully in his affairs. Very good, well-developed mount of Sun is indicative of self-

confidence, gentlemanliness, kindness, generousness, wealth and grandeur. Such

persons have the special quality of influencing people in meetings, etc. They are higly

respected.

If this mount is developed more than necessary, then such a person will be very proud

and is a flatterer. Friends of such persons are of low class. They are extravagant and

quarrel on trivial matters. Such persons cannot get full success in their lives.

If the mount of Sun is leaning towards the mount of Saturn, then such a person likes

to remain aloof and is full of frustration. They are always short of money in their lives.

4. The Mount of Mercury: The prominent part on the base of the finger of Mercury is

called the mount of Mercury. This mount shows materialistic prosperity and affluence. If the mount of Mercury is prominent in a hand, such a person is an opportunist and

is always in search of the right time. He or She is considered clever in taking advantage

of any opportunity. Such persons are successful speakers..

5. The Mount of Venus: The spot beneath the second phalange of the thumb and

surrounded by the age line is called the mount of Venus by palmists. In Greece, ‘Venus' is

said to be the Goddess of beauty. Persons having the mount of Venus of a high order are

beautiful and perfectly civilized. Such persons are very healthy and are able to influence

a person by their personality. Such persons do not lack courage. If this mount is less

prominent in any person's hand, then he is a coward and weak-natured.

Persons with very prominent mount of Venus are licentious and always covet for the

opposite sex. If there is absence of this mount in any hand, then he lives like an ascetic

or a mendicant or a recluse and has no interest in family life. If the mount of Venus is

fully prominent but his head line is not balanced, then such a person gets bad name in

love affairs and sex matters. The love of such person is predominant with sex.

The prominence of the mount of Venus makes a man brilliant and handsome. He has

such an attractive face that people are automatically attracted towards such a person.

They face difficulties smilingly and are always alert about their duties and

responsibilities. They have a natural inclination towards beautiful and artistic things.....
